I enjoy home bible groups (during the days of the anti-christ and the "one world government" that will be the only way to have church).

They are not mutually exclusive.
If you are in a church that has drifted into apostacy, leave now. I'm always amazed why anybody would want to go to a church that doesn't believe what is written in it's own book.

But don't assume that all churches are the same.
It is not that difficult to find a church that believes what it preaches.
The church I attend has opportunities for everybody who wants to to get involved in a home study group through the week, and we all gather on Sunday to worship together at church. I know several churches in the Toronto area that do the same thing. If you live anywhere in North America, there is probably a bible believing church nearby.

What church apostasy? How exactly is studying together with other uneducated believers in a home going to replace teachings from educated pastors?

The first great apostacy started in 325AD with the council of Nicea, which founded the Roman Catholic Chruch.

There have been other apostacies since, but the last great one happened in 1994. I left that group and have been in a home group since early 1995.

The advantage? Freedom to learn, to study what we want, to not have some "pastor" or "reverend" trying to get us to follow him.

Freedom to follow God without worrying what other men think.

I think that it's already happening, for better and for worse. We really never needed the "institution" part anyways. Many times the denominations take on a life of their own. Kind of like someone five states over in the "main office" who nobody knows is always responsible for wht the "body believes". I guess they both have good and bad points.

We do both right now. However I feel that home churches should never take the place of public worship places. Our light is always to remain shinning no matter how dark it may get.

Why would home groups be less apostate than the churches?

I see no apostasy in our church. The apostates are being weeded out.

Being Catholic...no that wouldn't work at all.

But the Catholic Church is built on Christ not on the beliefs of it's members.
