Everyone cares what people think of them to some extent. Some people(regardless of gender) care more than others

Because us girls are stupid. We just want to be pretty plastic beetches just for people to like us. But the truth is is that people truly like you for who YOU REALLY ARE. Some girls pretend to be like Regina in Mean Girls because girls think she is successfull in popularity but thats not true. We should be more like the Cady at the end. Why should we even care about popularity and what other people think of us and are bodies? I mean there are bodies. People worry too much about what other people will judge about them. We should just worry about finishing school, and having a worthwhile life and to have amazing friends to be with.

It is surely a sign of low self-esteem, weak spirit, and having their priorities in the wrong places. This is one area that many girls need help with. I think it is different, perhaps, in other cultures. With the emphasis on education, such as in China, the (girls) women there seem to excell in so many ways and become very successful doctors, scientists, etc. They don't seem to be so concerned about how they look and who is looking at them because of their confidence in themselves. Who is to blame for the way a lot of American girls are??? I am not sure, but the problems does need to be fixed.

you can't really generalize on girls. Its just some people that care about what other people think about them. I could care less what people think about me. Maybe it is easy to generalize on girls because they are always trying to look good but thats just something we do whether it be for oursleves for our guys or for those that care about what other people think about them.

Some women are more sensitive and think with their heart. Really and truly it does not matter what other people think, what matters is how you the individual feels about it.

Philosophy:
1. Look... Guys don't do that.
For Guys to attract girls, like 2 unlike attract each other, this was build as their temperament.

2. Very few so called 'good' guys available, just as no one else like me ;-)... they have to compete ;-)

Because they care about being accepted, it's part of our wiring of needing to please. Society, nature our nurturing as we grow up all teaches girls they need to please. It's part of nature and how we learn to be good mothers, etc. But it seems to be that we take that attitude into too many other areas of our lives. It's just part of who we are, we are different than boys. Evolution needed women to be the nurtures and part of that is needing to please and care for others.
