Because America is the most corruptible country in the world bar none. It was founded by criminals from Europe trying to make a better life for themselves.

I've never heard of the Mexican mafia. The Italians are the the most portrayed in the media. The Russian mafia sounds menacing. Try Yakuza. It's been on for a long-*** time.

IF they are powerful, then they are only powerful among those who even know they exist. Far as I'm concerned, the Italian mafia is merely the stuff of Robert DeNiro films, the Asian mafia is merely the stuff of Jackie Chan films, and the Mexican mafia is what keeps ending up in Texas prisons. I have never heard of a Russian mafia... unless that is what my grandfather was part of back in the 1930's... he immigrated to America from Russia, and was part of something called the Jewish mafia back then.
Of course, the entire former U.S.S.R. mindset was mafia-esque (my own word). And don't even get me started on Putin....

I am sorry to say so, but I never heard of American mafia... I know the Italians, the Yakuza, the Russian, the Hells angels (Canada), Jamaica, Mexican, the frenchs, the Colombians, but can you name me the American one?
