I was on the metro bus today and saw Jehovah Witnesses handing out pamphlets, and other stuff... The woman tried to talk to me, but I got off at my stop.. lol. I now see that they have expanded their business... So where next... the mall?

How do think you are able to bad mouth JWs or open your mouth about anything?
I will tell you. Because JWs have gone through the court system up to the Supreme court over 50 times so you could talk so big.
Yeah, JWs were going to hand you a pamphlet that tells you how to live a better life and gain eternal life from nothing else but the Bible. Boo Hoo! How could they be so cruel?
You should be grateful you can ride the bus with such freedom. It could easily be like Russia used to be. You would not dare open that mouth. You would keep your head down and make as little a spectacle as possible. If it wasn't for those JWs you so despise, that could easily be your fate.

Did she threaten to harm anyone that didn't take a pamphlet?
When you say she "tried to talk" to you, did she knock you down and sit on you, or in any other way threaten you or force you to listen to her?
As far as I know, everyone still has that pesky righ to freedom of speech. She has the right to pass out pamphlets, and you have the right not to take one. She has the right to try to talk to you, and you have the right to tell her you aren't interested.
*shrugs*
A part of living in a free country is having to put up with people who don't think the same way you do. Would you rather live in a country where neither you or she had that freedom?
I'm no great fan of JWs, but I am a great fan of the right to freedom of religion, and freedom of speech.

well you have to understand the motive, they are told constanty that Jesus told his followers to go and spread the good news of the kingdom's rule of earth! It is life or death for them! So yes if you are on a bus, and they are also....
(i used to be one) Jesus said find the people! go where the people are! that is why. With knowledge of other spiritual cultures I think we can more easily deal with them.

ON the bus? There are rules about such things in most places. The driver should have stopped them and put them off.

When they knock on my door and I answer they take one look at me, hand me the pamphlet, and walk away. They must sense my inner strength assume I am evil. I should show up at one of their meetings just to see how they react. I think I'll wear a cowl.

OK I have a HUGE problem with this...I don't knock religion, that is personal preference! BUT I also do NOT and WILL not walk the streets banging on your door preaching and PUSHING my beliefs and it is not FAIR to us that we have to hear it! IT should be Illegal...Besides I don't understand the concept of Jehovah's, don't they believe there are limited number of seats in heaven? then why are they giving theirs away??? If it is limited I am holding and saving my spot...Greed a sin to treasure!
