For the past 4 years my life has gone crazy. I have been sliting my wrists for 3 years and Ive attempted suicide about 3 times.

Lately all I can think about is killing myself, wanting to die, & how nobody understands me

My dad verbaly abuses me
My mom neglects me
My oldest sister amanda makes guys hate me.
Im obese (well at least for my age)
Guys dont look in my direction unless there making fun of me

Well what I want to know is how can I change my attitude and ignore the hard perts of my life? All I want is to be happy but lately it seems impossible.

GET ON SOME ANTI ANXIETY MEDS. START THINKING POSITIVE. DO SOMETHING TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL BETTER. IF YOU THINK YOU ARE OBESE THAN START YOURSELF ON A DIET. THATS WHAT I DID TO LOSE A FEW POUNDS AND I FEEL MUCH BETTER NOW. KICK YOUR SISTERS BUTT. AND IM SURE THERE IS A GUY OUT THERE FOR YOU, JUST GIVE IT TIME.

AT school, try talking to a school counselor. Also, when I was a teenager, I had some similar problems, and I got a little help from a suicide hotline.

Now, mind you, when I was a teenager, it was the mid 1970's, and there were not quite as many options for teens as there are now. So, when I say the suicide hotline helped me a little, it's because the counselor's on the other end were somewhat skittish about helping a minor.

I will provide a link for you to contact if you'd like... they specifically help teens (your teen years are simply a very difficult time of life, neverminding all the extra emotional baggage some of us carry). Anyway, even if you are not currently desiring suicide, someone at the other end of the phone might know some options for you to get into counseling, and to definitely get a another, more sensitive doctor.

This one offers live online counseling, specifically geared towards teens (and pre-teens count): http://www.teenline.org/

This one offers a general suicide hotline, then when you scroll down, it has a specific hotline for teens... this page is also where I got the above link.

Remember, you don't have to wait to feel suicidal to call. Call now and share with them, exactly what you've shared here at Y!A.

Blessings to you! And feel free to email me if you need.

Hey... hang in there. Know that you aren't alone. We all have feelings of low-self esteem and issues with our family members at one point in life if not all the time! Your life is determined by how you view it- where do you want to be? Dream. You mentioned you were obese, do you think that maybe has a bit on your self-esteem or does your weight not bother you? What matters is how you VIEW yourself. Set your own goals. You sound like you are in a hard situation, propel yourself to go further. What are your passions in life? What do you find is intrinsically most rewarding for you? You can do it. Read aspirations and remember your life is a gift- you are here because your ancestors survived and gave you traits that enabled you to survive! Find what helps you cope-singing, artwork, writing, reading, running. Believe in yourself and never give up. Good luck. :)

Get yourself to the hospital and tell them you are suicidal and have been. Tell them your past attempts and show them your wrists. Ask to see a physciatrist. They are better than general docs for the meds needed for depression. You also will need councelling and theraphy.
You cannot ignore the hard parts of your life. You need to work through them. If you push it away, it will just surface later and be harder to deal with. Trust me, been there, got the t-shirt.
First though, get someone better to help you in the medical field and let them know those docs said what they did too.
There is hope. Hang in there.

I think you should find someone you can talk to weather its online or in person, use this person to vent and talk about any issues you are going through...Also it may help to write down ur thoughts and feelings, getting it out is help in itself...Or if there is a specific person you are angry with or persons, write them a letter be as harsh as you can, address it to them and all, but when you are done put it up and dont really give it to them..this will get ur feelings out on paper directed at the person who causes ur pain but you wont have to worry bout their reactions. Hope that makes sense...
And remember beauty is skin deep and as long as you can be happy with yourself thats all that matters..also confidence goes along ways and can make a person attractive or not...
Good luck and i wish you the best!

I think you need to change doctors.
If you didn't sound so clinically depressed, I'd recommend a book called The Mood Cure, but since you're suicidal, I think you need more serious intervention.
