I don't get it I'm confused!

My boyfriend and I have been dating now for 2 year I love him and everything but we don't talk as much. Recently he's been text me and I can't even be bothered to text him back. Today I had to stop into work he works with me and I didn't even bother to go say Hi to him. He calls and I don't pick up sometimes. Sometimes I do though. Like I'm just not in the mood to talk to him.

Other part of story:
My boyfriend was supposed to be coming to my graduation tomorrow night but instead chose to go to play basketball with the boys. He told me Tuesday nights were his basketball nights and he couldn't miss it but would attend my graduation party.

I'm so confused!
why do i not care?
is it because I'm hurt?
someone help!

If someone really loves you they will make little sacrifices even if it means giving up 1 week of Tuesday night basketball! Yes find someone new if i had girlfriend and she wanted me to do something for her i would! She is most important thing besides family!

Sounds like you two are both holding on to each other because you are scared of being alone.
Missing your graduation for BASKETBALL is a big thing. How often do u graduate?
It may just be a case of needing a break, time to think things over clearly may be all you need to know what it is you really want. Good luck!

Maybe the reason why you don't care, is because you aren't allowing yourself to. I bet deep down you might feel slighted by him, like he doesn't care about you-- so why should you waste your time and energy caring about him more?

I've been in your shoes....I havent felt appreciated by my boyfriend and felt sometimes like he took me for granted, and eventually, I started doing the same thing. I would ignore him, or atleast would be short with him when we spoke. And I knew it wasn't at all because I was sick of him or didnt have feelings for him, but I felt like it was unfair for me to have to care soo much and get upset when he didnt act the same way in return.

Your boyfriend was wrong for missing your graduation. Thats an important, once in a lifetime thing. Like he said, his b-ball games are tuesday nights. Would it really kill him to miss one?

Maybe you're starting not to care....because deep down you know he isn't worth it. He's NOT treating you as well as he should be and you shouldnt have to put up with that. You deserve better....and I think part of you already knows that, you just havent admitted it to yourself yet.

its a scientific fact that average duration of fully consumatted "romantic love" is on average 6 months to 2 years - although some people and fall in and out of "love" within weeks and for others it can be decades or longer - however the law of average dictates that for most to keep the butterflies flowing - you will need a new partner every few years - sort of like the Hollywood Stars do it

You are growing up and growing apart.

You interests and life is changing and boys take a time to grow up. He is not doing what he needs to excite you anymore.

When is the last time he took you out for something special, flowers or told you how he feels?

You know why you feel this way.

He missed your graduation for a basketball game? Dump him! It's over-- you two have lost interest and let the relationship die.
