Go to Babies R Us and test drive strollers.. We got ours as a gift a Graco Travel system.. The infant car seat was nice, but we didn't use the stroller very much.. Then when we had another baby two yrs. later we ended up buying a tandem stroller with a standing/sitting jump seat.. Joovy ! I love it.. Becasue it folds nearly flat and weights quite a bit less than our Graco. The infant seat adapter comes with it! I would suggest maybe buying a used or borrowing a Graco travel system if you can.. They are nice, but really heavy and take up a ton of room and they are a pain to fold... If it were me and I was looking for a stroller I would opt for getting a car seat that was for 5lbs-40lbs or 80 lbs and getting a regular lightweight stroller... Especially if you have more than 1 vehicle if you wanted a base for each car atleast for the graco strollers it's an extra $40... However, I got one at a garage sale for $10.. It's all dependant really on how much you want to spend and how much you are going to use it.... Look at ebay or Craigslist and see if you can get one used.. I'm selling ours with an extra infant seat/base for $70. The Graco's atleast retail for $170 for the travel system.... Good luck

My friend had an Eddie Bauer car seat and hated it. I think Graco makes excellent travel systems that fit all needs and budgets. Plus they have tons of options for patterns. They have the Quattro Tour series and the Metro Lite. The Quattro is the full size stroller and is great. I had one of those. It's safe and easy to use. I loved it. The Metro is the light weight version if you prefer something easier to transport or if you don't have room for the full size. I never had a problem with the stroller and the fabrics wash well. Also, for when the baby gets older I recommend the MacLaren strollers. They are extremely light, easy to fold and you can carry it on your back. Pricey, but worth every penny.

I am also not a fan of travel systems. I had an Evenflo system and pretty much never used the system after my daughter outgrew the carrier. The stroller is too bulky. I hated how it took up so much space and was heavy lifting it in and out of the car. I also hated that I spent so much money on a system that looked like EVERYONE else out there. Once my daughter outgrew the system, I bought a lightweight Maclaren and wished I bought one from the start. They are stylish and light. They are incredibly well made. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought just the carrier and base and purchase the bare bones frame stroller.

Go to Babies' R Us and test drive the strollers. Check out their features. Practice breaking them down and measure to see if they will fit in your trunk.

Don't be afraid to check consignment stores, eBay, and Craiglist for used baby equipment. Many people rarely use their baby items and you can get a great deal!

I agree that travel systems are overrated. . .I had one for my daughter and after a while I got sick of how bulky the stroller was so I got an umbrella stroller for the quick runs inside and a jogging stroller for walks and longer trips to the mall. The jogger I got recommends an age of at least 6 months, although I used it for my daughter at 4 months. When your child is so young they are still in the infant seat, you could get a frame that the infant seat fits into. That stage doesn't last long enough to spend a lot of money. Don't waste yours--or anyone elses. I would advise to register for a jogger to make life easier--it absorbs shock and folds nicely, and I will definitely get more use out of it that the travel system. Good luck!!

I am not a big fan of travel systems, I had one for my first child and will not be getting one for my 2nd. They are bulky, and cost too much, especall since the carseat only holds a baby up to 20 lbs, which most babies hit well before they are 1 (or 6 months. I will be getting a new stroller, likely a combi brand, and a convertable carseat.

I personally found that anything by Graco is good. I have had 1 whole travel system by Graco....LOVED IT. Then I bought a Graco carseat, and a full size Graco stroller, wouldn't you know, they fit to make a travel system. I know a popular store in the mall had the cutest Graco travel systems. You will just have to find a couple you like, then RESEARCH, RESEARCH, ReSEARCH....Good Luck.....

I would say that the Graco is the best! All of the reviews that I have seen are good and that's what I have used in the past and plan on purchasing for my new baby.
