I was just wondering if a Hyundai is a Japanese made car or a Korean made car? Thanks for the answers!

Yes, Hyundai is South Korean (I never heard of them being partly owned by Toyota) and they are very good cars. It's typical of how people can remember how bad Hyundai's were (20 yrs ago) but can't admit how good they become in a such a short period of time.

Hyundai is a Korean Company it is partly owned by Toyota. There are Hyundai plants all over the world including North Korea. That plant builds FORDs under contract

Yes . Hyundai is From S. Korea . And dont listen to the negative answers. They don't know for sheet!! 1st of all, they all think ohoh Hyundai is really bad car, maybe they just think Hyundai as 20 years before, but in a short time of period, they evolved fast. and Now they compete with BMW, Benz, and Toyota. Yes ! Freaken European and Japenese car makers!! Somepeople thinks that they 're aiming to high..?? but that's the way it is. they're not jokkin' around;. ANd Veracruz just beat Lexus RX350. ANd i believe that price dosen't tells you anything. Dosen't mean it's good. It depends on the quality and Spec. well hope my answer helps you alot and to the noob people!

South Korea is where Hyundai is headquartered (someone told me they Also make helicopters). They do have one plant in Alabama, USA that builds 06 and later Sonata's (better than the previous body style). It is pretty tight, but not quite as good as a Camry.

DONT LISTEN TO SOME OF THE ANSWERS! korean cars are not bad cars! the kia sedona/hyundai entourage is the safest minivan and 5 star crash safety ratings! tell me thats bad!!!!! the hyundai sonata best midsize car jd power and associates! hyundai santa fe better than land rover lr3!!!! tell mee..... is that bad? hyundais and kias are good cars... and yes it is korean lol!

it is made in south korea, they also have plants in the usa now,they have come along way since the 80's been working for hyundai since, seen some bad and good,dont let the wise guy last don, discourage you. he must have had a excell. he's a jerk.
