Is it true that you serve more than one day.. thanks

I served for a week but I am not in NY. I think if you are chosen as a juror you serve as long as the trial lasts. If you are not chosen for a jury you have to be available for a X amount of time. It probably varies state to state. IN my state a petit juror has to be available for one week and the grand juror for as long as it takes. Coroners jury is one day.

One day is lost in serving jury duty because you will not set appointments because of it.
