I think I have the symptoms of hypoglycemia. I'm tired most of the day, especially around afternoon time. I sometimes have these anxiety attacks where it gets super hot, kind of like hot flashes then goes away after a while. I always wondered if all of this was happening because of my hormones changing but now I'm not so sure anymore. I don't gain weight normally, I guess like most people. I can eat a ton, but no weight is gained.

I weight around 105-110 and am 5'3. I'm only 19, and I hope that there is a way to help me with this. I'm afraid to ask my doctor because I've never had any real problems with my health so this is a big deal for me. Any advice?

Yes, ask your doctor. It could be one of a zillion things, some easy to solve and others more difficult.

Don't leave your health to the advice of people like me. ;-)

Go ask the person with the medical degree who is going to be able to look at you, take your blood pressure and run a variety of simple tests.

Call first thing in the morning.

With hypoglycemia, you can go for hours without food in morning. Once you start eating, you have to eat every 2 or 3 hours or your blood sugar drops and you are cranky, irritable and hot. It's easy to treat and not that big of a deal. Just make sure you eat protein and have a supply of food with you. Something as easy as nuts.

Even if you don't have hypoglycemia, you should talk to your doctor about this. This isn't something that's embarrassing.

It could be a number of things going on with you, but until you see your doctor and have some test done, you'll still feel crappy. For someone to be without any problems with their health, this should be a big deal, so get it look at. What are you waiting for it to get worst and then too late. I just don't understand, when you feel bad go to the doctor.

Hypoglycemia basically means that you have lower than normal blood sugar. Eat some candy, and if it was hypoglycemia, you would be fine afterwards. I get hypoglycemic VERY easily, so I have to make sure that I ALWAYS eat and have something to drink.
You should probably see an Endocrinologist.

See your doctor for some tests. You need to have it checked out rather than rely on getting answers from YA! It is not too difficult to have these tests done!

Go for it!

See your doctor and ask him to check your blood sugar level. explain to him what you did to us. could be as simple as you said. But better to see a proffesional.
