Take a cab? Isn't it like a 1 hour drive?

You should take a Long Island Taxi to Ronkonkoma. The fare is $5. Then you can take the Long Island Rail Road to Penn Station, which is in the heart of NYC. This is the fastest and best way to go...I have traveled to that airport many times and this is the cheapest and most convenient option!...good luck!

It's more like two hours in traffic, and there is always traffic. You are much better off taking the train, it might take even longer, however it will be much cheaper than the $100 cab ride.

Check with the airport, they use to have a shuttle bus, but I'm not sure anymore.
