My wife and I are going to the Maldives Hilton for our honeymoon in December. I would be very appreciative if someone could help with these questions:

How much should I expect to tip?

We are staying half board. Is that the best way to go or should I upgrade to all inclusive?

What restaurants honor the half board and all inclusive?

Being either half board or all inclusive there seems no reason for a meal at the Ithaa restaurant. I would like to take her for a cocktail to experience it. What are your thoughts?

I keep reading about making reservations for the BBQ. Any info?

There looks to be a terrific selection of places to eat. I am interested in the Kono Grill, the Atoll Market and Sunset Bar and Grill? Any feedback - especially the price?

Would you recommend the Spa? Price?

Any places to shop? If not, since we are staying the first night near the airport would your recommend Male before traveling on to the Hilton?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Hi There

How much should I expect to tip?
Answer: It depends on the service you get, you can tip any amount you want, lets say not lower then USD10 cause, Hilton Maldives offer First Class Service.

Answer: I suggest you just keep on Half Board , so you can enjoy Dinner at other Restaurants, like the Worlds First Undersea Restaurant in Hilton, or else arrange a Private Grill etc

You should tip 10%
I would stay at half board but then I like to eat away from the hotel too. It's half the fun.
I'm not sure
It's a great restaurant, however it's also over priced. Go just for drinks.
Sorry don't know anything about it. E-mail the hotel they will be happy to let you know.
All are great, not too expensive either.
Only if you like Spas, otherwise it's a lot of money.
Sorry not a big shopper.

Have fun
