Why in the world is it that every time I get stuck driving behind someone who is driving slow, it is always:
an old dude
too short to see over the steering wheel
weraing a hat
driving a Cadillac?
WHY?

Where do you live? Much of where you live has much to do on demographics on who drives on the highway and their age and how they actually drive, added to the population and the major employment work hours of that city and what time everyone commutes vs. how much public transportation is available and how many alternative streets people have to take. One way to avoid this is to stay in the middle lanes to give you alternatives to go around, left or right of them, vary your routes, this is the most important, taking the same route to work everyday actually increases your risk of accidents, and being stuck in a rut of the same traffic routines.
Try different routes as well as different times. Try leaving 20 minutes early or 20 minutes later (of course this all depends on your schedule but vary what you can you should be surprised.) I could answer more if I knew what city it is, and especially if it's a large city I could even offer more advice.
Vary your routes and times and chances are you may avoid the type of drivers you always encounter. Unless you are in a retirement community in a small population, under 100,000 people.

Well, my dear first of all why are you jealous because that (old)
person drive a Cadillac? If he drive a Aston Martin DB9 (I hope you know what it is?!) would you talk the same?.
For your information I was and still am a pro driver (rally)
and I drive a Cadillac,because I don´t like Japan cars!
WHO is telling me you can drive?

because they need a telescope to be able to read the damn speed-signs, i think when they doo they view it as a dare and think "ooh i wonder if my car could actually go that fast,, hmm better not chance it. oh well off to the post-pffice to pick up my pension money"
Bloody old people, they should stick to the busses and their mobility scooters

the same thing happen to me, for me it was always a purple voltswagon.lol. it was even the same one cuz it had the word grape on the licence plate. =]
