No, Americans don't think Posh refers to anyone other than Mrs. Beckham.

But I think the average American thinks all British accents are basically the same, just as the average Brit thinks all American accents are the same.

we don't. this is a satire. The Simpson's makes relaxing of all and sundry. Homer is the stereotype that many British have of individuals regardless of each and every thing - fat, lazy, dumb...etc... acquaintances is likewise a comedy, not a documentary. They use extensive humor, its not meant to be a mirrored image of certainty. in case you think of any youthful person in ny has an condo that length, you're regrettably improper. that is in easy terms a teach. that is merely leisure. do not take it so heavily. And in case you do get disappointed by utilizing it - examine the stereotypes your guy or woman media makes on the subject of the U. S. and individuals. I watch uk programming, and have heard distinctive terrible "American" accents by utilizing actors from the united kingdom and someplace else - and the "American" character is alway loud, pretend, funds obsessed, not that bright, etc... television isn't certainty and individuals do not see television shows as being the reality approximately any nationality, which consists of our very own - that is merely television comedy.
