She's your first cousin, once removed. I think the only family members that it is completely illegal to marry are the immediate family and first cousins....so you should be in the clear. However if it causes a lot of tension in the family you might want to ask yourself if its worth it....Good luck :)

Havinh children with people closely related to you causes birth defects. If you want to up the already big risk of having children that you will have to care for the rest of their lives...and I mean they could have a disorder that you have to watch them every second of everyday until you die!

So I would tell you to talk to this girl if you love her and must marry her and decide now that you will adopt children instead.

Second cousin - depends on where you live. Most often first cousin marriages are banned. Check with your state laws.
However, this doesn't excuse the ICK factor....

She's your first cousin once removed and it would be pretty sick to want to marry her. She is not your second cousin. Your second cousin would be your mother's (or father's) cousin's child.

She is your 2nd cousin. In some cultures it is acceptable to marry a 2nd cousin. I dont know for sure if there are any laws against it or not. Maybe you should talk to your parents about it and see what they think.
