"In the image of god" doesn't mean physical image as it wouldn't make any sense for god to have a physical form. It refers to the spiritual image of god.
And to the dumbass who thinks only Christians believe in god: What about every other religion on the planet?

God is a spirit, He can take any form He chooses. We were made in His image in the sense that we have awareness of spirit and a conscience. Not to mention a "soul".

I distrust the translation of that particular line. But even with this translation you could interpret it from alot of different angles.
Really it doesn't matter. But my bet is that he is a being capable of living multi dimensionally, he may not even be bound by time. Maybe there is a part of god in everything. No telling.

God is spirit. His image could include more than our human form. His character, his feelings, are all parallel to ours. He is perfect mind you, but you can tell from the Bible, we are made in His likeness.
