What can I give my 2 year old for diarrhea?

Keep her on the BRAT diet:

B-Bananas
R-Rice
A-Applesauce
T-Toast

And to make sure she isn't dehydrating, give her some pediacare or gatorade.

The BRAT diet, but skip the pedialyte. My son's doctor said only to give pedialyte when a child is vomiting and that it can actually worsen diarrhea. Let your child's behind air dry as much as possible to keep the area from getting inflamed.

My son's pediatrician always recommends the BRAT diet as well (same as other responders have stated) - Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. And plenty of Pedialyte to avoid dehydration.

yes with the brat diet, i give mine the liquid anti-diarreha med over the counter. give her 1 teaspoon. i seen it as the wal-mart brand. Its like Equate, Anti-Diarrhea Liquid.

Keep them off milk and milk products for 24hs, and go to the chemist they may have something you could give to him othewise, just things like dry toast and cackers till he get better.

Make sure he is drinking plenty of water otherwise he will get dehydated and vey sick.

You really shouldnt give them anything at that age. I would suggest getting tons of pedialite and get it into your child fast. Do not give any food untill you see it stop and then slowly reintroduce food again a little at a time. Its probably a tummy bug. Good luck

i tried my grandmothers old remedy of half a teaspoon of flour in water. hard to get it down but once i did it did the trick!

Pedialyte. They even have it in icee form now! My son used to love the icee, but not the drink itself.
