It means to "write" or put something onto a blank writable Compact Disc.
This can technically be anything but is most commonly associated with music files.

The reverse of it is to "Rip" a CD. ie to copy the contents from the disc.

To burn a CD means tons of things. i like to just keep it simple, to burn a CD means to transfer music to a CD. i hope i answered your question correct.

Burn cd means to make a cd you can insert a blank cd into your hardrive and download music on it and make you a cd!! That's just a complicated way to say making a cd!! It's just as simple as that they just try to make things harder then they seem but it's just very simple!!!

well burn cd basically symbolises cd writting... burning is just a term refereed to cd writers so taht u can copy data frm ur hard disk on any other folder to your cd or dvd,.,,simillarly we have dvd burning...so check the link below..

its just slang for writing data to a cd, "burn" refers specifically to the laser in the disc writer buring holes into ink.
