I had soccer camp today from 9:30 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon and the sun is blazing. I have sunburn right now and it's really pink and it burns really bad. I have soccer every day this week for the same time so I'm going to be out in the sun and it will just get worse. I used sunscreen but it didn't help. What can I do to reduce the redness and ease the pain. Aleo Vera makes my face break out and so do other things like that. What can I do at home to help without causes a breakout and without me having to goout to buy stuff to help it??? Please Help!!!

I can help. I am very fair and burn easily. To relieve the current burn use regular noxema. It will cool it and take the red out. For the rest of the week apply Coppertone Water Babies Sunblock. It works wonderfully and they also have a stick for faces.
I know its miserable sweetie but these things will help.
Take a nice cool bath or shower too and apply pleanty of noxema before bed, wear a very loose fitting cotton t-shirt or nightie.
You will feel better, keep hydrated, lots and lots of water.

Well, there's good old fashioned ice, but that's kind of annoying, and I'm sure you don't have an ice pack large enough for multiple parts of your body. Believe me on this one (I'm an ex-tennis player, and have endured multiple HORRIBLE sunburns as I lived in Florida), go to the store and go buy yourself this stuff called Lidocaine. It should be in the sunblock section at any Walgreens. Try not to buy an imitation. This one comes in a clear bottle, with a big red cross on it, and the gel inside is blue. I believe it also has aloe, but also it has a numbing agent so that it helps the burn. As for the rest of the week, wear long sleeves if you can, and apply more sunblock. Come to think of it, you'll have to leave the house anyway to go buy better sunblock because whatever crap you used obviously didn't work. Go and buy something that's at least SPF 50, but you should go up to 70 if you can. There's one that's SPF 70, and make sure it's water/sweat proof. Make sure you apply 30 minutes before you get out there, and re apply every 2 hours or so.

I burned my back pretty badly once - I couldn't sleep from the pain. I wasn't able to go buy anything for it at the time, either. What I finally did was put a wet towel on the burn, and laid down under the ceiling fan. The wind chill gave me enough comfort to sleep.

Use SPF 30. Better to look like a ghost than a lobster, I say.

Try wearing clothes that might cover the sunburned area and lather up twice as much sunsceen. I don't know if that will help, but it's worth the try.
