In this song this girl lives in a “caravan” which is in a trailer park indicating she's very poor. She doesn’t like her living conditions so she wants to change them for what she thinks is the better life by getting a job as a prostitute who “only goes out after dark”. After getting enough money she leaves town on a bus. She first goes to New York City than Hollywood to fulfill her dreams of making fast money possibly now as a call girl or an escort. She’s “riding high” because she has done well for herself and has acquired a lot money she even has her own private plane. She’s living a glamorous but very fast and dangerous life as revealed by the words “moving fast as a hurricane”. However, the excitement doesn’t last long and her luck runs out. She’s “in stir” which means in trouble and now she has to pay the consequences of her fast and illegal lifestyle by serving 3 – 5 years in jail. For her, it was “sleazy come easy go” In other words she made a living as a sleaze but it didn’t last very long, “easy go”.
