When my children were little I would tell them that the lightening was God lighting it up so that He could see where to water, then the rain was Him watering the trees and plants, and finally the thunder was the angels clapping because God did such a marvelous job watering everything.

So, it could be from the big bowling alley in the sky...or just the angels clapping. :)

Hahah! Of course!! When I was little I used to be afraid of thunder and my dad told me at dinner one night that the thunder was "God clapping" because I was eating my broccoli!!!
