no I dont think that the 144,000 will be raptured this year. the 144,000 arent necessarilly going to be christians niether. Only because it has been said in the bible that a person can attain righteousness without knowing God. Those 144,000 people could be just about anybody.
Revelations 21:10 talks about John being carried away in "spirit" to the great city, the holy Jerusalem.
When John talks about the cities the way he does in the bible, especially in revelations. He is having visions. Visions are soley images. The earth is considered as image only. Not spiritual.
that is what throws a lot of people off. Image and spiritul are not the same. not here on earth they are not.
that is whole concept behind satan is to get into Gods home and take over, in the spirit (his spiritual home).
when people were to look at the middle east. all the fighting and violence that goes on there, that is image. yes that is satan battling there because God put His Holy Home there here on earth, but it is just an image.
that is what it (satan) worked of off. image.
when John talks about Gods home in spirit. It is peaceful, no fighting, violence, and no wars.
one thing that I know for sure, and a lot of people have no doubt in is that satan is good with images. it uses images to trick people and mislead them. but I will add, he is not all that good with them because it will be images that will ultimately destroy it.
I say that it isnt all that great with imagary after all because he hit the image of earth, not the spirit. spirit and image are not the same. here on earth.
when taking this knowledge into consideration, it isnt necassarily going to be from the middle east on earth. that is why God is called God "The Powerful One', because satan works off of image, and God knows image and spirit.
satan doesnt. that is why it is stated in the bible that he is ruler of this earthly world because he knows earth well. and all that inhabit.

There is no such thing as the Rapture. That was invented by Darby in England circa 1834 based on his theory of Dispensationalism where he tried and failed to predict the exact time of the second coming of Christ, who by the way said, "No one knows when the Son of Man will return, only the Father knows". Darby predicted the end, had followers who sold off all their possessions and waited...and waited. Then Darby said, "Whoops, made a mistake in my calculations" so the sheep followed again and here we are now still believing Darby's crap. The Rapture theory is just that, a theory. Example is the passage which states that at the end time "Two women will be working in the field, one will be taken and the other left". Hello, no hint of "Rapture". What happens if the passage means one of the women will simply die while in the field??? By the way, don't forget Christ also said that when he returns, "Every eye will see Him even those who crusified Him" making it impossible for anyone living or dead to see Him before the second coming. Even Paul did not see Him, he only heard a voice and was blinded by an intense light. Exit the rapture and everything with it. All the books like Lindsey's "Late Great Planet Earth" are based on pure speculation and Darby's mis-direction. Nothing more, nothing less.

The 144,000 are not the number of people that will be raptured. Every born again Christian will be taken in the rapture. The 144,000 are from the 12 tribes of Israel, men who will be witnesses on earth AFTER the church has been taken out of the world, during the tribulation period.

The Bible clearly states (in several places) that "the end" will come either during Christ's own lifetime, in during that of his twelve disciples.
So the rapture must have already taken place, the 144,000 Jews (for it clearly states "members of the tribes of Israel", not "followers of Christ") have already been taken, & the 1000 years of tribulation must then also have passed.
We aren't really here!

The 144000 are Jewish male virgins who will preach the gospel amongst the Jews and the entire world. Every tribe of Israel (Rueben, Levi, Benjamin, Simon, Judah, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Zebulon, Joseph, Isaachar, Manasseh) will have 12000 representatives amongst these 144000 Jewish virgin males.

The rapture could happen any time, but hopefully there will be many more than 144'000. That is a Jehovah witness belief.
