Pretty much everything in Christianity is based upon some sort of paganism as well. It makes for a better sales pitch if you identify with things people are already somewhat familiar with.

people ballbe about Allah, and Jesus being Pagan Moon gods. because of different reasons. some dont seem to understand that Allah is simply God in Arabic. and thus when they find Pagan refrences from the arabic lands and see Allah in them they assume that this is an early frm of Islam.

the say that Jesus was a moon god becvause his birth was marked on a Lunar Calendar. which is what the Pagans used. however they fail again to see that the Roman calendar was not invented yet. and thus times were marked by the passing of moon phases.

if Jesus or Allah were Pagan Moon gods. i believe that i would know. Something about being a Pagan priest and
studying the Pagan Pantheons of gods. and finding no refrence to Allah or Jesus as a singular god. kind of tips me off to that.

what people don't understand is 'God' is merely a title, not a name, the word Allah means 'The God" and could have been used for pagan deities before the advent of Islam! But, the word Allah is a proper word to use for the Creator because it's implying the One True God, whereas the english word God means 'voice' and can apply to any deity!

If you study the pre-Islamic history of the Arabs, you'll find that Mohammad's family worshiped a pagan moon deity called Allah. While they also worshiped other pagan deities, Allah was the patron god of his family and after Mohammad's "vision" in the cave, he declared war against all the gods except Allah.
The symbol of Allah, even before Mohammad's "vision" (well documented in archaeological journals, as well as various anthropological studies) was a large moonstone, located in the Ka'aba.
Other evidence of Allah's true identity is the crescent moon, which is the symbol of Islam, and the lunar calendar used by Muslims.
There is an abundance of evidence that Allah is not the same god as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

For the same reason some say Jesus is a sun god. They are trying to weave together all different religious myths and symbols, sometimes in an attempt to justify pantheism, sometimes in an effort to discredit the god involved. Allah is the name Islam uses for its monotheistic god, and hardly qualifies as a "moon god." Besides, the moon is usually thought of as a goddess, not a god, due to its monthly cycle. The people who made up the name get to say what it means. (Even if it was their distant ancestors that coined the term.) When they say "There is no god but Allah," they are saying they are monotheists.

No.

But some people mix between "Allat" which was a name of a pagan god, and "Allah".

There is a huge difference between them, but both names are Arabic, and when pronounced in English, it sounds the same and some misinterpret things.

Hope that helps.

Peace.

Allah is the Arabic word for God. There is no link to God and any fake deity that people wrongly prayed too. Arab Christian Bibles refer to God as Allah too. Sunshine got it exactly with " allat " this was changed in a bid to cast Islam in a bad light.

This statement is false. Allah is the name of god the ONE god. Islam is a monotheistic religion. We believe in ONE god, the god of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed(peace and blessings be upon them All).

No link, this statement is a lie.
