If a man was to cut hair, would he be a barber or a hairdresser? What is the best way of learning this? How much do they earn? Is it possible to make a really good living?

A barber usually just cuts hair. My brother-in-law is a barber, he seems to do very well, and haircuts around this area are less than $10.00 usually, not $400.00 like the haircuts that Edwards gets. I just get a haircut when I go to the beauty parlor, cost me $6.00.

Barbers have a different license than cosmetologists, though the training is similar. They make fair money, usually not quite as well as a cosmetologist because they don't do chemical services, but it's still a great job because it will ALWAYS be around.
