I've openly admitted in this forum to being bisexual (and I mean that, I'm bisexual "for real") and I've never really been harassed for it, but I suppose that's because I don't carry it around as a badge all the time. If I made it part of my name, I'd probably catch a lot more flack.

God created us all and why people feel the need to hate because someone is different is sad. I have some very good friends who are gay and have a heart of gold but have to be very tough in the world because it harder to fit in because of how they live. They recall being different at a very early age as a child, so i don't believe it is a choice for them. Amazed that you are already receiving hate mail ? No just really sad and scary:-(

You bring up a good point. Just walking in their shoes online has already showed a glimpse of the intolerance they face every day. I could only imagine how much worse it is for them in the real world. I hope the homophobic people out there stop sometime and think about what they are doing to people.

I will also be interested to hear of your experiences..thank goodness a sweet friend told me that the Block feature works for email as well. I had a real nasty sending Hell fire to my in box.

I have a friend who is a professional wrestler and happens to be gay...recently he, a lady friend of mine and I went to wrestling event. As we walked the crowd, some *** yelled out ****** homosexual from a distance.
It saddened me that people could be so rude to someone they don't even know just because of their sexual orientation. My friend just ignored it, even though he could have swept the floor with him.
The rest of the night I had to watch him fighting off women who wanted autographs, photos, or more... I couldn't escape the irony of it all any more than I could shake off my envy.

Hmmm, interesting experiment. It's sad that you've gotten hate mail, but not surprising. I have watched what my uncle has gone through his entire life, and like someone else said, it's too depressing and frustrating to get hate mail.

I love the way that shade of magenta brings out your features . . . can you still take a compliment from a woman?
Even though you're a woman masquerading as a gay man? (This is starting to sound like a bad novella!) LOL
:-p

It is not about the gayness. It is about the people. People can be hateful, and we really should try not to no matter if we are gay or if we are not.

It's sad that people hate for such a small thing. I'll never understand it.
