The game is an hour drive away and the game will last 1 1/2-2 hours long and then another drive home. I am a teacher's assistant so I'm off work for the summer but what do those of you think that are working? Would you think this is to late? Or do you think that since this is All-Stars they should expect late games and lots of practices? There are parent's complaining about how often they practice (5-6 days/week) and I just can't wait to see what they have to say about the time of the game! I can understand their point because by the time they get home and get baths over with it will be pushing midnight! My son will think this is the coolest thing in the world so I don't mind... I'm just worried about everyone else! =)

Its summer vacation so I see no problem with it.
It also is only one night per week.
My 10 year old plays hockey and we had the choice of 6 AM ice time or 8 PM.
So the later time I feel is better.
We don't find him tired at all.
Great that he is playing.
The late time is probably due to the adults in charge etc. are not available till that time. Feel lucky they volunteer their time for the kids.

Well, that is a little late for an 8 year old to be staying up, in my opinion, but it is summer vacation, and I'm guessing there's only one game per week, so let the kids have their fun and make sure they get a nap or some restful down-time before they get going to the game, or while in the car.

That seems awfully late for children of that age.
