Well then what is?

Of course America is a Christian country. Although most Christians don't want to admit it, this country is influenced by Christianity and some Judaism--no other religions. President Bush is Christian (or some branch) and I'm sure hes spread his religion around secretly. You may think this is a secular country, but deep inside, its not. Its a Christian country indeed, and the Christians are the ones who initiate most racism and run the country.

Rome was not Christian until the Emperor said it was. As far as countries go; they are all whatever religion they are by default. God deals with all individually. The only people He deals with as a nation are the Jews.

Many key Christians in Europe and America, in the distant past and today, believe that Anglo-Saxon Celts are the lost tribes of Israel. Either way it cannot be a Christian country as there is none in the eye of God.

There is no doubt that America was set up for God's purpose in the scheme of things; as seen in the history of nations in the Book of Daniel and in Revelations. On top of all this, in consideration of moral quality there are also no Christian nations on the globe today.

I would say you are absolutely right in your feeling.

Well, I guess one would have to define what is meant by a "Christian country". If you mean that the majority of citizens call themselves Christians, then yes it is. If it means that our government is Christian and is in place to enforce Christianity, then in theory, no, we aren't a Christian nation, but Bush seems to want to head us in that direction.
The first amendment to the constitution forbids establishing an official national religion, so legally, America has no National Religion. The first amendment also forbids the government from infringing on the free excercise of religion, and that means ALL religion, and common sense would also dictate that this would also include the freedom to not practice any religion at all.
I would describe America as a country that predominantly self identifies as Christian, but is (in theory) run by a secular gov't (not to be confused with an atheist gov't) that gurantees ALL citizens freedom of religion.

America is found on the Judeo-Christian Principles. It's right there in the Declaration of Independence. All men are created equal and have unalienable rights of liberty, life and the pursuit of happiness given to us by god. The laws we create are influenced by the moral strandards of the Judeo-Christian Doctrine, Old and New Testements.

I completely agree. Unfortunately a lot of Christians, including myself, get caught up in "wordly ways." In doing so, we neglect how the Lord calls us to live our lives by becoming selfish and hardhearted. What I try to do is pray that God softens my heart to make it more like His, and gently convey to others that "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven."

The link below is to a blog I posted on my Myspace titled, "The word "Christian" is a great noun, but a very poor adjective." I found it on another user's blog and liked it so much that I had to post it to mine. Read it for further insight.

Thank you for your compliment. Hardworking Americans have been focused on that goal for centuries.

Now that others are beginning to see the fruit of our labors, it is not time to become slack! There is a long road ahead and new heights of secularism to be attained! Let us not plateau in our social godlessness! Religion still is cynically used by both Democrats and Republicans as a tool to call the militantly religious to attention (though Democrats suck at it). We, however, are firm in our resolve!

On to glory!

Jesus said "My kingdom is not part of this world." and "Satan is the ruler of this world."
He didn't say there would be any nation that he could consider His until after he returns and establishes it . That will require destruction of ALL these nations.
You are right. America is not a Christian country.
They may say they are but I think Jesus would find that false.
