You'll have to open it up and remove the CMOS jumper and/or battery. The jumper is usually near the battery.

Some motherboards you need to remove a jumper like you would find on a HDD. Some boards you need to reposition it and turn it on to make it "no password (reset)" (then place it back), others you need to just remove it and turn it on to reset. The jumper should be near the battery or CMOS chip for the BIOS

If you unplug the PC and remove the battery for 10-15 minutes, the CMOS may reset itself and the password should be blank. Another option may be to remove the CMOS chip from the motherboard for a period of time.

well, the tough thing about a bios password is that it's set to spring up in the dos prompt before your computer even thinks about booting up, and there is no known generic password to bypass it.

You've only got two options. One is, contacting who you bought the laptop from and getting the password from them, and the other is getting a new hard drive.

Sorry mate.

Take out the CMOS battery for a few minutes. It will flash your firmware and reset it to no password.

Looks like a watch battery.

The previous owner had a password on it. Probably doesn't remember it and sold it on ebay for that reason since they couldn't use it
it's in the BIOS so even if you do take out teh hard drive and put in a new one it'll keep saying htat. so i don't know what you can do unless you find out what the password is.,

Press F1, or DELETE immediately upon pressing the power button on, hold it until it beeps, then let go. This should bring you into BIOS Setup Utility where you can search around for Setup passwords, and then disable the password feature.
