Mulders infamous poster changes during the running of the show. I'm having trouble remembering when and why this changes. Something about him giving his original poster to a woman and then got another one?

Can someone please tell me when and why the poster changed and if possible the episode(s)?

Cheers.

BoosG it does indeed change. Two episodes you can see this in is:

The Pilot (Season 1) and Scary Monsters (Season 9). The posters in these episodes are very different.

I seem to recall him giving the poster to the women with the dogs? Does that ring a bell?

It's pretty hard keeping track of all the changes! I believe in the early seasons, the poster kept disappearing from the set so there were several versions used.

However, in the X Files universe, there was only ever one poster up until the end of season five. (In "Chinga" 5x10, Mulder tells Scully he got the poster "about five years ago" on M Street).

Then in "The End" 5x20, CSM set fire to the office. I can't recall whether there was a poster in early season six but in "Alpha" 6x16, Karen Berquist, a woman Mulder met online sends him a new poster. He then puts the poster up, which seems to show that there was no poster for half of season six.

Hope that helps!

I love the x-files and I gotta say, I don't recall any poster changing happening. I know you can buy that poster on line at several sites. I have all 9 seasons of x-files, so I guess I'll have to do a marathon of the episodes some night to see if this is true. I don't think it is.
