Is all life really just one and the self only illusion?

All is recylced ...You die, decompose, and reutrn to the earth. The same material that was once made up you will become plants and other things. Plants that will be eaten by other animals, aniamls that most likey will be eaten by another animal. The same for the whole universe when a star dies, it gasses will be reused over and over. All is one and the same energy

According to Buddhist philosophy, in the sense that everything is empty of inherent existence and that apprehending anything, via the mind (etc.) as being inherently existent is illusion, yes.
