to go from a 6:11 mile time to under 4 under a year and if it is not then just like the saying says
impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it impossible is not a fact it's a opinion impossible is not a declaration it's a dare impossible is temporary impossible is potential

A sub 4 minute mile is olympic standards. It'll take A LOT longer than a year to get there.
With a year of training, if you didn't train that much to get to a 6:11 in the first place, you can probably get close to 5 minutes. I run a 6 flat mile, and my goal for spring track is around 5:30.
Good Luck

If your best mile time is 6:11, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its impossible. With a 6:11 you'd be lucky to do a mile in under 5 minutes in less than a year, much less 4 minutes.
"Give up your foolish dream Steve," j/k prove me wrong, go for it.

it may also depend on your age. I notice a lot of people improve greatly between the ages of 14-17. (i.e gr.9 going into gr.10) But to take it down 2 whole minutes is asking for a lot. If you work on interval training and speed and endurance, sure you will improve a lot..probably maybe even by a minute.

To quote the greatest Superman of all:
"So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable."
- Christopher Reeve
Of course, anything is possible, but a sub-four minute mile is a feat that many runners who train for years never achieve. I believe there are currently less than 2000 runners who have ever done it.
However, I encourage you to keep going. Even if you fail in your goal, the worst that will happen is that you will end up with a better mile time (albeit short of 4 minutes). Any shorter time is better than a longer time. :)

It depends. If your fitness level is low then you can certainly improve but to get to that speed is top athlete level. Not many can do it. Good luck.
