Products that promote exfoliation can help diminish the appearance of shallow scars. For example, Neutrogena Advance Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel. http://neutrogena.com/ProductsDetails_306.asp?lProductLineID=1
Some home remedies: You can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask. Or mix half a teaspoon of crushed uncoated aspirin tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask or aloe vera gel to use as a mask. Apply a thin layer to your face & let dry for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off w/ cool water.
The other thing you can do is to consult your doctor or a dermatologist about Retin-A or Differin. These prescription products promote cell turnover & stimulate collagen production. I've used both of these medications & they have helped dimish some of my shallow acne scars. Differin is a bit easier on my skin than Retin-A.

Depends on what type of scars they are... If they are raised scars like if your face was cut and had stiches or something, you will need to look into a silicone patch. That will help the scar go down and be flush against the rest of the skin. However, if you have scars like from old acne or zits, use coco butter on your face everynight. EVERYNIGHT! If your face is currently broken out in the area where the scar is, wait until the area clears up. You dont want to put coco butter on an area that is broken out because it will make it worse.

Buy a tube of micro-exfoliant from a good store like Boots. It's like a face scrub with ultra-fine particles, and it's not too expensive. That will improve the texture of your skin. Also a very good product for scars is Bio-Oil. It's not cheap, but lasts for ages. Use a moisturiser with light-reflective particles, such as Olay multi-radiance, or something slightly tinted. Don't go on a sunbed, or go out without UV protection in the sun- it will make the scars darker.

vitamin E is the best for getting rid of scars, look for a face ltion with Vitamin E in it and start using it every day, if the scars are really bad buy some vitamin E gel caps and open them and put the gel directly on the scars :)

Use Mederma. It works wonders on scars. Don't get lazy though and forget to use it. If you use it consistently, you will see a difference. I've used it when pimples leave a scar and my face is clear. The fresher the scar is, the faster it will disappear.

Are they permanent or are they just a little scratch? If it is permanent you could use a scar cream, or you could do nothing to it and be proud of your scar, not ashamed of it .
