I say go to the movie cause you should date and have fun, you're young. Afterward don't make plans for another date if you don't like how the first one went. Besides it's not like one date has to be more than one date. If he starts getting too attached just tell him you are too young to take yourself too seriously, and if he sees you being someone elses girlfriend tell him it just happen so quickly. You are ALWAYS allowed to change your mind, one of the priviliges of being a woman!

If you go, he will assume it is a date, not just a "friendly outing." So you should only go if you think you might like him.
It's okay to go on dates but not get into a relationship - but only if you let the other person know that. If you want to go, then go on the date and tell him that you're not ready for a relationship, you just want to date and flirt for a few years until you're ready.
But if you don't like the guy at all, or just want to be friends with him, then don't go. You are not expected or required to accept every offer that comes your way.

Ask some of your friends to go along as well. Suggest to him that you make it a "group" outing. This will send the message to him that you aren't interested in a private date with him, and it gets the point across without you having to hurt his feelings.

Make up an excuse about not being able to go.
Try to avoid him at all times. And most importantly STOP flirting with him.

It's hard isn't it, cos if you turn him down you have to see him all the time at church & if you go out with him but don't want anything more you'll have to see him all the time at church.

How could he do this to you?

It's a date to the movies, not a commitment for marriage.

So you don't like him romantically?

Just give him a little white lie and tell him you are "talking" or are "interested" in somebody else.
