The Bible says- "Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee" Is 26:3
Do not just try not to... replace these thoughts with something good. Every time you think something wrong or dirty pray and ask God to clear your mind and fill it with good things. Then- sing a good song of praise to the Lord. This always works for me.
I know exactly how you feel. I've been through the same thing alot until I figured out how to get control of it.-- I ask God to take control of me!
God bless and don't give up. The more you let the thoughts slip in without taking care of it immediately the more they will come and progress until those thoughts become actions!!!

A wise man said, "If you give a man a superior thing, he will forget the inferior thing".
Perhaps you are trying too hard to remove the thoughts. Instead, try to replace them. Whenever you find yourself thinking about sex, shift your thinking to God. His beauty, fame, wealth, philosophy, intelligence, creativity. Simply praying for God to remove those thoughts is not enough, if you don't make an effort to replace them with thoughts that are pure. Thinking about God is pure. The more you think about God, the less those other thoughts will invade.

Does not God permit the thoughts to make you wonder why they are there? What is it about these thoughts that are making them come back? Thoughts don't just 'happen', they are the result of something, some action or word.
Try to pray to God to understand where the thoughts come from, and then you will be able to grasp them by their root, and not by their flower or stem.

you have asked 2 questions, the two considered one of that should take volumes to respond to. one million. We weren't created in need of his standards, we've been created to precisely stay as much as his standards. We nevertheless have that decision even with the undeniable fact that it would advise residing existence in consistent fellowship and submission to his will, which being appropriate may well be precisely what we've been made to be/do. 2. the full predestination/loose will difficulty has one important concern for us. we've not got a clue what it means to 'exist outdoors of time' with what we call the previous and the destiny being the eternal 'now'. some speculate that there are distinctive aspects of time (chop up dimensions) and God can understand/be in all of them. Others say that from our vantage factor we've selections yet from God's we don't. And yet some say that God has administration over all issues which will bring about his merely suitable end, yet we've the means to no longer comply with it. returned, we can have not got any understand-how of God's existence, and the thought is previous our understand-how so the appropriate we can do is make attainable assumptions.

If I walk up to you and say, "Whatever you do, do NOT think about white bears", then you will not be able to stop thinking about white bears, because you are thinking about not thinking about it.
Dirty thoughts will pop into your head from time to time. Satan puts them there. If you try NOT to think about these dirty thoughts, then you will think about them even more. Try to distract yourself instead by thinking about something else. Try getting busy doing something fun that has nothing to do with boys.

It's hard and takes work but if you pray everyday to God that he will help you to keep those things away through the day then he will. This is just hte devil trying to lead you astray.

No matter what you do or how hard you pray you will think sinfull thoughts. We are sinners by nature and there is nothing we can do to change that. The only thing we can do is not act upon our sinfull thoughts and ask God for forgivness if we do act upon them.

Praying and reading the word are good.
You should also get rid of all of the trash that feeds those thoughts, like television or other sources of ungodly images.
Keep asking Him, and He will help you.

what you focus on will magnify. don't try so hard.when the thought comes, replace it with a positive thought. what are filling yourself with? what are you listening to? watching? reading? You plant images in your conscientiousness daily. replace it with peaceful images, inspirational books, poetry etc. as for the music, only you can make the choice to listen to positive music.

yeah welcome to reality....once you have the knowledge of good and evil it dont' "go away" you have to deal with it....reading the word and studying can help....but once the perversion etc enters the mind it can only be controlled...good luck...we all deal with it...the more you can stay away from it the better and the easier it is to handle. for instance I think about eating lasagna all day every day....i can do it...but should i???
