Use tons of Aloe. Not only with it take the heat out, but it will take some of the redness away as well. I use it all the time with myself and my kids. It works extremely well.

Sunburn is a burn, and your body will take a week or so to repair the damage. The pain will decrease naturally over a couple of days.
There is no magic cure, but you can treat each issue separately. Ease the discomfort in the burn area with a good burns cream or aloe based treatment. I would be surprised if the pain is still so intense in a day. If it is, you might consider whether your body is ready for the activity you want to undertake. Suitable pain relief would be an option to mask these messages!

I doubt you can get rid of the sunburn itself but you can reduce the pain by applying aloe vera. You can buy aloe vera gel at almost any store. Look for it where the sunblocks and lotions are. Also, it feels really good if you put the lotion in the fridge for a while so that it will be cool when you put it on.

you don't simply get rid of sunburn, it is damage to the skin and it takes time to heal. You can minimize the burn by using pure white vinegar on it, letting it dry and then taking a cool shower to wash it off. clothing is going to be uncomfortable for a couple of days, that is the price you pay for being dumb enough to get the burn in the first place. Unless you live under a rock, you know that sunscreen and other protections from the sun are available and essential, shame on you for ignoreing the facts.

Hawaiian tropic makes a sunburn relief gel (the gel is blue)
with lidocaine in it, it cools it and takes the pain away temporarily, I recently had a sunburn, and used this product, it worked great, just put it on as needed and it will help.

My dad was a medic in the military and he told me to use hemroadal cream on a very bad sunburn. My daughter had a bad sunburn on her shoulders and it hurt her. I put some hemoradal cream on her and didn't tell her what it was. She thanked me and told me all the burn was gone. Good luck.

The best thing my mom always did for me when i got burnt was to take tea bags and soak them in apple cidar vinegar and them lay them on the burn letting the burn "soak" up the vinegar. IT stinks bad but it helps with the burn/pain and the reddness. But, it will also make you peal quicker than if you leave the burn alone but---good point is that the peeling skin usually comes off in big "sheets" rather than little pieces.
Good luck and try to remember lotion next time.

I don't know if you'll be able to get rid of it, but putting some kind of aloe gel usually helps me. I like Banana Boat Aloe Gel. Put an ice pack on it also, it will absorb some of the heat and make it less uncomfortable.

It has to fade away on it's own. If it is a bad burn, it will NOT be gone or painless by tomorrow. Sorry. Hope you feel better. Next time, sunscreen with a pretty high SPF.
