Every time i make money i pay 10% to my church. it is part of it, i don't even have to think about it or debate

Tithing includes not just donation of money but also of one's time as volunteering to one's church or temple, and also to outside organizations and charities.
I don't give 10% to one place, but I do give both time and money to multiple places & organizations. I think when that was written thousands of years ago the church was the place that did the charity work, passed out extra food for the hungry, clothed the needy, etc. Now we can reach many people in many places through multiple channels & tithing/ donation need not be just thru one designated area.

I do not believe churches to be good stewards of the money given to God through tithes and offerings...I feel this money is to be used to help the less fortunate...do the things that God commands...feed the hungry, care for the poor, orphaned and widows...but, churches are spending their budgets on their operating expenses..utilities, building multi-million dollar compounds...I do not believe that to be of God...

So, I give some to my church...but, I give more to charities, that I have investigated that are doing good works in the communities, and where most of their income is spent on the people it is meant to go to ...not on operating budgets...

So, no, I do not give 10% to church...but, I do give 10% to God.
