Judgments about things - for instance, the 'strangeness' of a dream - as well as emotional things are remembered differently because they are stored differently in the brain.
It is not unusual for one person to dislike another and not remember the details or why they don't like them.
For me personally, the more flawless the presentation of a dream is, the less memorable it is.
The flaws, mistakes, and other unreasonable details are the ones I notice more, and the more I notice them the more I remember them.
In my opinion, the brain is able to generate dreams but is not able to make judgments about them - a mind is needed for judgments.
To make a judgment the mind has to be conscious or aware of the thing being judged.
In other words, you have to be aware of the dream in order to decide that it is strange.
The conclusion that a detail of a dream was strange is stored differently, with other emotional 'stuff'.

You may want to keep a journal by your bed. That way, as soon as you wake up, you can write down everything you remember about your dreams.
It is common to forget our dreams as the day goes on, and even more common not to remember your dreams at all. There may not be anything of importance behind your dreams; they're may be great significance in your dreams. Either way, dreams are entertaining, and writing them down ASAP can help keep the entertainment alive!

Try to remember your dreams. They are usually incredible. I've had dreams that have come true and other very vivid ones I wonder about. They are so vivid they almost "shake" "full of electricity" can't really describe. Most of my dreams that repeat are very peaceful. I think they are an excellent form of entertainment.

this is bc dreams are stored in short term memory... if you don't talk about it, write it down, or something like that, it'll get lost as the day continues... this is a normal experience.
