I have feelings that there is a higher being but there is this feeling deep down inside of me that leads me to believe that it is all absurd. What can I do to find my place in this world?

I'm also scared that if and when the apocalypse comes, I will be condemnd to spend eternity in hell if a God really exists. I anticipate death but I'm also eager to see what happens.

God is not an angry dictator waiting to smash you over the head with a sledge-hammer. He loves and desires you. But He has given you the ability to say Yes or No to Him. These feelings are the stirring in your spirit which was made to commune with God. He made you and knows exactly how you work. Don't let fear be the motivating force in your decision however. He is after your heart, just as a lover would be. Don't be afraid of Him, or the judgement that is coming. Even that judgement is the result of God's love for His creation...He cannot let sin have its way forever, there must be a day when Love wins and sin is defeated...forever. So don't be afraid, God is ravished over you and wants to be with you forever!

Also, the feelings of absurdity are something that many experience. Satan wants you to have no part with God and he has deceived a generation into believing that there is NO God and that we are accountable to NO one. He hates humans and will do anything to keep them from accepting their rightful positions sons and daughters of God.

The best advice anyone can give you is to go to a bible-based church and find a mature believer there that you can ask all of these questions to. Trust in Him and He will reward that decision. Blessings...

It is only absurd because you are comparing your feelings with a human constructed reality. Go for a walk in the park or anywhere that there is no obvious conection with Mankind and meditate. Don't think of anything just clear your mind. It is not easy to do but if you can you will feel your inner feelings shining through and the real spiritual you will understand. No human, myself or otherwise, can tell you what you will feel or wich way to go. Our free will allows us all to follow our own destiny. You do not want to be just like everyone else. That is the trap of religion and government. They quantify you and then you belong to them. Be the miracle you are meant to be. "Love can change your world, love can change your life, do what makes YOU happy. Do what you know is right. And Love, with all your might, beforee it's to late." (Moody Blues) Peace and good luck in your search for your true self ;-)

Search to find an answer, not to prove a point. Read books about religion. Study the history of religions. Many questions were addressed when i took world history classes. not directly on, but these classes helped me peice things together. also, dont just go off of what people tell you, find it yourself. Ask a Christian and he will tell you God is there, Ask and Atheist and he will tell you that God does not exist. So dont pick your favorite, but find out through research and also apply teachings from Christ to your natural feelings. This is a very fragile question, and should be treated as such.

Because you were not present at the birth of the Universe, does not mean the event did not occur...The Big-Bang Theory could have been set-off by God just creating another "observable" universe.

The Humming Bird does not SEE the space shuttle, because its eyes see only a narrow frequency...like us, we see somethings what we want to see, or refuse to see what is front of us.

I suggest reading the Book of John, if you want an initial understanding of why God came to earth, and what your role in the big picture is.

You change the world(all us us!), by what we say, what we think, what we do...

If you are fervently seeking God, He will make His presence known in your life. The first step to doing this is to decide what you believe about Jesus Christ and then go from there.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

That's like being unsure if the world is really round, or if its really 4.6 billion years old or even if Noah really did build this big boat and float off with a bunch of animals in it.

When the time comes to prove to you what needs to be proved, God knows where you live. And don't worry about being 'stubborn' or 'reluctant' or worried you might be 'difficult', God knows difficult, God invented it, lol.

don't force it. Find things that are more obvious to put your attention into. Such as the existence of love and beauty. And develop those qualities in yourself. When it's time for a belief in God or an appreciation of Spirit, it will contact you :-) Contact is much clearer than belief.

hey dont worry, i had the exact same question back then, because of all of the so called "proofs" that God doesnt exist and the Jesus was a flaw and all that s***. I dont know about you but I am going to stick to the Lord, because he does exists and has made countless miracles across the globe. God bless you!

Best thing to do is to educate yourself about all sides of the debate. Then make your own decision. It's not wrong to believe things a little differently from the next person.
