I joined a Christian chat room and went in and was having a chat with a person in Ireland, I was telling them about how I live in a Reservation with Native Americans and how it was illegal for them to speak their native language until 1979 and how it is still illegal for them to Ghost Dance, we the moderater flipped out and said I was talking about Indian witchcraft, I tried to explain that Native American Indians do not practice witchcraft and in fact they consider witches and warlocks bad medicine and the moderater banned me from the room without discussion or hearing me out. I feel this was discrimination, bigotry and ungodly of this person, what do you think?

I think it's very intolerant behavior. How could someone dismiss an entire culture and their beliefs as witchcraft? This was the same kind of thinking that killed so many Native Americans in the past. They were run off their land, forced to convert to Christianity, and give up their languages. It's sad to hear that such thinking is still around even today.

No this is not Christian behavior. Besides being rude, this person didn't even understand what you were talking about and kicked you out without discussion.
Furthermore, even if that person really did think you were into witchcraft, then they missed a prime opportunity to 'share the word' as Christians are mandated to do by God.
A real Christian would have tried to show you how the love of Jesus is better than witchcraft, and in the process would have realized that you weren't even talking about witchcraft in the first place.

I wouldn't call it "ungodly", but I would call it "discrimination" and "bigotry". You unfortunately found someone with an extremely narrow world-view.
This person should have been helping you figure out how you might be a "living witness" to bring more Native Americans into your faith's fold, not flipping out over a discussion of some old customs.

I could see where he might have thought it was witchcraft. But to not hear you out and to ban you from the room was a little overboard. Especially if you were just having an honest discussion about it. It probably wasn't the best thing to do on his part.
I am very set in my ways on some things, but I am never afraid to discuss them. I wouldn't have kicked you out for that.
Again, not all Christians are perfect though, and he probably just didn't think about what he was doing before he booted you out.

That was both wrong and very sad that she apparently can't handle any other discussion then the fluffy kind that fits her view. Even if it is a Christian chat, why shouldn't people be able to discuss the beliefs of others, at least in contrast to their own views...?

Every chat room has rules, and the ones I have been on also give 3 warnings before you are out.
I have found that there are 2 sides to every story and most of the time the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

I dont feel that it is discrimination or ungodly, it just seems to just be the moderater not listening to you. Dont take it personal since it is probably no big deal. And just because you are in a christian chat room does not mean that the moterator is christain. Just try to be care- ful when you are talking in a chat room. Hope i helped you.

Its not a religious behavior.
All Christians and Jase's not have a perfect though. They do not think about what they were doing and all Muslims not also. There are are so many black sheep's in all.
If a man very set on their ways.He has no worry to discuss them.Especially when you having a honest discussion about that. You must have right to convince others about your own opinion. How could he kicked you out with out listening your opinion.
Because there is no stress in any religion. If there is so God must punished their all unbelievers.

No, that doesn't spell "Christian behavior" to me. Personal opinion, it sounds like you are better off not being in that chat room; I have to wonder how open-minded those people are.

1. you were at Christians chat room, did you read the rules of that room. moderators specifically post rules for people who abuse rooms.
2. don't blame moderator for what you did. it was your mistake, that you didn't read the rules before entering to a Christian chat room.
Most Christian chat rooms aren't allowed to talk about witchcraft and so on. Beside i'm sure before moderator had to ban you he/she gave you a warning. 3 strikes and you out.
next time use your head.
