What is wrong with this statement....read on......?

" Buddha is just one of many false gods. The bible says that there should be no other gods before God. Christianity is the only faith thats savior has come. EVERY other religion is still looking for answers, waiting for a savior, and still asking why"

A few things, actually.

First, Buddha is not considered a god (except in certain Mahayana Buddhist sects, where he is one deity among thousands, if not millions, of other gods).

Two, "there should be no other gods before God" (sic). "God" is not a proper noun, but rather a common noun. When you talk about god, which of the millions of deities man has worshiped since the beginning of time are you referring to?

Third, Buddhism has found its answers, so has Islam, and quite a few other religions, have all the answers they feel they need to have. Not all other religions are "still looking for answers... and still asking why".

Other religions have had the messiah come already.

Other religions do not predict a messiah, and have the answers already.

It assumes that there is a god.

It assumes that the bible is the correct religious text.

Actually Christianity does not have the answers and is waiting for the messiah to come back to clear things up.




Other than that though, it's O.K.

1)BUDDHA IS NOT A GOD, AND NEVER WAS CLAIMED A GOD IN THE BUDDHIST RELIGION!!!!
2)The way you used bible means it should be capitalized
3)"There should be no other gods before God" means that there can be other deities but none are more important.

buddhists dont believe budhha is god. in fact, buddhists dont have a god. they believe buddha was man who recievedd enlightenment, such as sidhhartha guatama. buddhists goals is to become enlightened :). so bascally, buddha cant be a false god because no one believes hes a god.
