Also is that a certificate program or a degree. I'm just trying to figure out where i would have to start and all i can pull up online is confusing. Can anyone explain this better?

There are no on-line programs for 911 Telecommunicators. Some community colleges might have certificate programs. (Thre are no degrees for 911 Telecommunicators)

Do not waste your money on getting trained. The agency that hires you will pay for and provide all required training. Just start applying at 911 centers you are interested in working at.

I also highly recommend that you do a sit-a-long at a 911 center to make sure it is something you CAN and WANT to do.

This is usually a course, in person, at a community college. Often you can do it at night or part time if you have to work.
