There was this kid that I was afraid of in one of my classes this past year. He was pretty much goth. I was scared of him, but I sat by him in class. I finally got up the courage to be nice and talk to him. He ended up not being as scary as I thought, and we almost had a bf/gf relationship (there were some issues, but not because of his gothness). So before you completely decide to ignore her, or do something that way, at least get to know her a little. She might not be as bad as she seems.

I'm not much into the goth ladies myself. But you should at least give her a chance, she might pleasantly surprise you and be a totally awesome young lady. Besides even if you only become friends with her that would be good. You can never have to many friends. Honestly there is nothing to be scared of.

Try just talking to her and getting to know her first. Don't dismiss a possibility because of appearances. She probably puts on the Goth as a cover up, most do. Let her know your not looking right now, and start with a friendship. Who knows, maybe once you both know each other better you'll want more.

ok....so she is goth....im guessing you have some impression of her already in your head so your avoiding her....but have you taken even the least little bit of time to get to know her? you may learn a lot about what goth really is, beyond the sterotypes. id say about 99% of what you think goth is is wrong. she may actually be the nicest girl you will ever meet. get to know the girl. THEN decide if your still scared of her or not.

So I am taking it you have no interest in her? Make that clear to her. Because she's Goth doesn't mean she's gonna put some voodoo curse on you! Or, you could try talking to her a bit and understanding her....it isn't unheard of....

dude dont be shallow, embrace the goth, j.p but dont judge her at first glance talk to her first and you may be interested maybe just friends but still i have friends that are goths and emos and they creep me out when they talk about death and stuff like that but work past it and get to know that person they might even change

I assume you've heard of, "don't judge a book by it's cover".
Hey, there are men out there who looks decent who are actually rapists, you know.
People tend to fear the unknown. Why not conquer that fear? Get to know her. Maybe she's into poetry, most goths are.

Try to get her to date one of your not very close friends. There are many single guys that will jump on that sort of grenade. Then you will be saved from goth style lovin.

dont knock her bc she is goth, i knew the smartest and kindest girl who was goth. i didnt date her but she was one of the coolest people that ive ever met. and i am more of a prep, but i like everyone. give her a shot.

Don't let outward appearances scare you. You should get to know her for who she is. You may find out you have a lot in common, if anything you will have gained a new friend.
