Your "sacred" text says its immoral and what not, but it also says homosexuals should be executed? Why not go the whole 10 yards and fulfill god's word and be a proper bigot?

I have many friends who are gay, and if my gay friends ask me what I think about homosexuality, I tell them that I disagree with their lifestyle. I'm a Christian, not God.
This point is usually made by quoting the book of Leviticus, but the NT lumps homosexuality with ALL sexual immorality and does not pronounce a death penalty...if this were the case, this straight man would be at the bottom of a pile of rocks for his past deeds.
Please read the book of Romans before categorization of Christians and Christianity.

I am not sure what you mean by intolerant. Is it intolerant to have beliefs that differ from another person's beliefs? If that is the case then all people are practicing intolerance.
While Christians hold that certain behaviors are unacceptable to God they themselves must be kind, considerate and caring towards all people -especially to those who disagree with them.
Under the Old Testament Jewish law, those who practiced homosexual acts as well a adulterous acts were subject to capital punishment. I know of no traditional Christian denominations which recommends a continuance of this practice.

Why do people like you stereo type all of us "Christians?" of course if you check the date of your Bible it was written sometime between 300 to 600 BC and things have changes some sense then old chap.
You see in the modern world were now somewhat tolerant of others and follow the rule of "love your neighbor" and, all that stuff.
And, another problem with this killing thing, the law frowns on it so, we have to let things slide somewhat.
I do hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone like you. I don't know what you were expecting, a "blood bath" or what?

Not all are intolerant (you spelled it wrong).
the bible calls certain acts immoral. If you look at the full text they were usually homosexual acts performed as part of heiros gamos and idol worship (homosexuality is never mentioned in the bible as homosexual oreintation, simply certain acts).
And actually that was all Old Testament so therefore the time of Judaism. So why not dump on them. It was their writings.
Homosexuality is not mentioned on it's own in the Christian teachings of the New Testament.
Really bad try here.

its true that its immoral and that the bible condemns those that are homosexual, but we are not going to go the whole 10 yards, because the bible also condemns murders and such.
Instead we will wait for the day when god will bring his destruction not only on homosexuals but all those who are fornicators, murderers, adulterers, etc.

beacuse that wasnt christians laws at all if you look at it.
Its the Jewish law.
If your going to be bigioted to a religion, research and use the right one.
We dont live under the law at all, Christians live under grace.
God told us to love everyone. I do.
If you notice the N.T talking about sexuality/homosexuality, It dosent talk about killing anyone anymore. Beacuse the Law isnt what Christians live by. It then talks about loving everyone

REAL Christians shouldn't be intollerant. I'm Jewish, but my best friend is a religious Christian and she said Jesus loved everyone no matter what and so should we. Other "Christians" just like condeming people i guess.

it says they should be executed for one reason...because the tribes of Israel were to be a PURE lineage from adam to Messiah..God didn't want witches and warlocks and sexual degenerates in that lineage....get it? Those laws and statutes dont apply to christians...lucky for you folks it don't because i know a lot of psychotic nut jobs would love for it to apply....this nation is very tollerant of HS's....you dance and parade in the streets virtually having sex in public with no legal hinderences at all....saying we disagree with your lifestyle is intollerence? then saying you're an atheist and don't agree with christianity is INTOLLERANT As well! hypocrite. thanks for pointing that out.

Easy there, tiger. You should watch "One Punk under God"... Also my church, "Grace Church" in Amherst, MA has stood up for gay marrage, and there is a lot of media coverage on their stance. Look it up online.
Point is, the church is made of people, and people are flawed. Don't flog Christianity because of this historical blooper we're in the middle of.
