Wondering if personal fireworks are legal on Oahu for July 4th celebrations. If so, where can I buy them on the island of Oahu? Thanks!

Yes personal fireworks are legal. There are two types that will be sold for the 4th of July - one type that needs a permit and another type that does not. Keep watching the news for when the permits will be sold. I believe you will be able to pick up permits at the satellite city halls around Oahu. You will need to be at least 18 to buy a permit.

However, aerial fireworks set off by consumers are not legal in Hawaii. Only licensed fireworks operators can set off aerials.

Yes, fireworks are legal and will go on sale at places like Longs Drugs or Don Quixote before the holiday. Some fireworks require a permit though and those fireworks will be clearly marked.

Have a great (but safe) celebration! Happy Birthday America!

I'm pretty sure it is. Some need a permit, though. Sparklers don't (I think) need a permit. My family likes to go see the professional fireworks on the beach.

Of course you can. I set fireworks every Fourth of July.
