Now how many people knows that verse and chapter in the scriptures. After the flood when God gives us the rainbow and promises that a pot of gold would be waiting at the end when you reach heaven. Can some one please help me? My boyfriend says there is no Pot of Gold waiting for me.

Irish legends say leprachauns keep their pot of gold at the end of rainbows. If you follow the rainbow to the end, you can steal his pot of gold. Haven't you ever seen the 'Lucky Charms' commertial? Where the leprachaun says, 'They're always trying to steal my pot of lucky charms.'

No the Bible does not speak of a pot of Gold. It would be pointless because the Bible says that the streets are paved in Gold so why would you want a pot of street pavement. Sorry that sounds extremely sarcastic, but I do not mean it like that. But the Bible spoke of the rainbow as a sign from God saying that He would never flood the earth again.

The rainbow was placed in the heavens to remind us that the earth would never be destroyed by a flood again.

As far as the pot of Gold... I would say if there was such a saying in the Bible, it would be Heaven itself waiting for us with streets of transparent gold.

There is no Scripture that promises you a pot of gold when you get to Heaven. You'd be selling yourself short. In Heaven the streets are paved with gold.

You've obviously mixed up your fables. Pots of Gold and rainbows are Irish legends. There's no pot of gold. Why would you need gold in heaven anyway? Aren't all your needs supposed to be met?

I'm glad I'm a heathen.

You surly have something mixed up her dear girl. God promised never to flood the Earth again and, to remind us of this promise he sent a rainbow. The rainbow your speaking of comes from Irish legend so, I think your boyfriend is correct and after your answer to my cattle poisoning, which was very nasty and wasn't even the right forum about "atheists" I still want to forgive you. Those cows were very expensive and I didn't need that type of answer for something that didn't really pertain to the question.

All is forgiven.

Matthew 13 13:52
He said to them, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old."

Closest thing I know. Sort of suggests that knowledge of heaven is like a treasure...

I think it is a mistake to spend much time anticipating the treasure you will receive in heaven. It is very much like the mistakes most pirates made. They spent all of their time seeking treasure when they should have realized that the treasure was in the fond memories that they were creating!

Create some fond memories with your boyfriend and worry about the gold when you get to heaven.

What scripture did you get the from? It sounded to me like the Lucky Charms commercial. You don't get a pot of gold you get something better. Everlasting life.

Why would you want a pot of road pavement waiting for you? You can pick it up anywhere in heaven. Hold out for something with actual value instead.

Hmm, better stick with Amway or those old shares of Enron stock, Betty. You're more likely to get your gold that way.
