That depends on which state is your home state. You will need to find a way to support yourself but still continue your high school education. IF things are that terrible at home, not just your not wanting to follow the rules but rather an abusive or neglectful situation, go to the local child protection agency and ask for help. Though they will not "legalize" you they will provide help to resolve the issues or move you to a more suitable home environment.

Getting emancipated is very difficult and takes a very long time. Better off waiting til you're 18 and you can walk out legally. Don't burn any bridges, you may wanna come back one day.

It takes almost a year, in some occassions longer to get emancipated. I went through the process.
YOu have to prove your are self sufficient (Job, School), intelligent, and most important...that staying in the household would only harm you.
I doubt you have the money and you sure don't have the time to go through it. Sorry...you'll have to grow up.

Just leave, at your age police will not interfere and they will pretty much tell your mom that. Loosing battle with a 17 soon to be 18yr old young adult.

Stay home and go to school. There are several reasons for this. First of all it will get you an education, without which you are doomed to fail at life. Second, and most obvious, by looking at how you spell, you need one.

get a lawyer and file to be emancipated. Just remember that when the judges gives you your freedom, you can no longer cry to mom to pay bills, cover medical or other things like that.

Are you asking about "emancipation"? Some states have it and some don't. What state are you in?
