how do you scan a photo of someone on your printer and get it on your computer so you can e-mail it to someone?

In order to scan a picture you need a scanner. Now some all-in-one printers come with a built in scanner. If yours is a printer only you can't do it.

If it is an all-in one-unit it will have a scan button on the printer just push it and the computer and scanner will talk to each other and your picture will open on the computer where it can be saved as a file. Then e-mailed as an attachment.
