Well personally they do expire and if you buy the little ones that come in a bag, itll tell you the expiration date. They dont have to rot in order for them to be nasty but they smell funny when theyre not good to eat anymore. If it has 10 days in the refrigerator then it is not good to eat anymore.

Yes Carrots expires .You can tell when carrots are about to go bad when they start to get soft ,But not yet have I seen one turn moldy .I like to trow out my carrots after one week of not using for witch the Vitamins starts to lose its potency.p.s carrots are only a root of the plant you see growing, I don't think it should classified as a vegetable, But it's very good to eat and healthy for you .

The longer the carrots are exposed to air the more they dehydrate and loose water and vitamins. Carrots are pretty hearty in the fridge. I usually juice mine after a week or so. if they are still hard they can be eaten just not as good as fresh.

Yes, carrots expire. It's just one of those facts of life. If you desperately need to eat these carrots because you can't buy another bag come pan gold with me in Alaska. We can split it and you can use your half for carrots.

Condensation can build up in the bag, and this helps the carrots decompose and perhaps even get moldy. You can try breaking one in half and see if it is still crisp, and then wash it good and maybe peel it with a vegetable peeler, but likely they are past their prime and would taste pretty lousy. They probably wouldn't make you sick but would have lost their vitamins.

Well, they will keep for awhile in a bin and unopened...But if they look dry or abnormally wet, then their probably no longer good. There should be a date on the bag, otherwise I would just throw them away after a month.

Expire can mean to breathe out--to exhale. I don't think that carrots breathe. If you can find a carrot with a lung, that would be beyond impressive!
I think that your carrots are okay to eat so long as they still look edible and they don't have mold on them...

Ha ha - they don't expire, but they can go bad. They can get limp and rubbery or they can start to rot. Smell it. No foul odor? It's not rotting. Bend it. Does it snap in half or can you make a pretzel out of it? If it snaps easily, it's good to eat. Otherwise, it would have a rubbery texture and it would be best to throw them out.
