The second that you say something that questions their religion or beliefs, the Christian mafia reports you. Why is that?

(from another answerer:"befuddleness" ????? whatever)

Christians profess not to be afraid of people questioning their beliefs, and they always feel they can fall back on their old standard "because God says so" but it must be difficult for them to defend such a lot of obviously illogical nonsense. They are probably afraid to defend their beliefs because their beliefs do not stand up well under logical examination.

Your second is about the Christian mafia reporting you. I got reported once. Since then, I have tempered my questions to be as sincere as they actually are, and you can ask questions that question them without getting vitriolic or over the line, which is probably what I did. The report you because their feelings get hurt, but they sometimes have no hesitation about being thoroughly rude and insensitive about attacking my beliefs as a Witch. Case in point: the person who accused Wiccans of being befuddled, or whatever his silly word was. I don't get my feelings hurt by that, but I notice he is free to be mean spirited online, and a lot of people are mean spirited toward groups that aren't in line with their beliefs.

Human nature, I suppose. The Christian mafia protects its own.

Might we expand a little here...

While I am not Christian, I do observe this same in any cohort or any individual whose convictions are questioned or challenged and for which perhaps they may not have esteemed there may be a truth aside or above from the truth with which they have been presented since childhood or awakened to and then accepted if not outright dogmatized.

I believe this to be a characteristic prononunce in human nature, a precise, predictable character -- and nothing wholly peculiar to Christians.

Many, many people are this way -- of both religious and secular industry. Relativism notwithstanding, truths tend to people this way, for in accordance with a given level, the truth they import may in fact be the truth; and to still another comes again a new truth.

Regresssion, Progression, Relativism -- call it as you will, it just is.

Although Lady Morgana is from a different religion, she nailed it on the head. If the question is worded respectfully, you will get quality answers. However, if the question is worded in a way that is offensive, it can cause people to get upset and report the questions, or simply not answer the questions.

I've found that the key to getting quality answers is in how the question is worded. If I ask a question when I'm emotional, I typically get nasty answers back. If I'm calm and think about how this question might be reacted to by someone else, then I either refrain from asking the question, or try to reword the question. Basically, if I'm asking to learn something, I typically get quality answers as long as I'm respectful in my choice of words.

Most of us are willing to answer questions that are thought-provoking and insightful. However if they use name calling or are derisive of either God or Christianity, chances are that they will get the same respect shown in terms of answering the questions.

Just remember that Christians do have feelings too, and we sometimes allow our emotions to get in the way, just like those who are non-Christians.

We all must examine ourselves and stack our beliefs up against the Word of God. The Word should be the gold standard.

Due to various interpretations of the Word, many cling onto cherished beliefs that mean something to them, but not to God. These cherished beliefs become a part of their identity that they cannot separate from, and hence are prone to bitterness rooted in offense.

I for one will "offer the other cheek" in the face of adversity. But thank God for the Holy Spirit - it senses the countenance of someone who's spirit is in the bondage of offense and bitterness. Those are the ones that are driven to abuse the reporting system of Y!A. This is unjust and God knows it.

But if you are the one provoking retaliation, probably in the name of envy or jealousy (name-calling, derogatory verbal tirades, and immature provacation) then the reporting is just.

Not sure if I helped. There are bullies in every forum. Don't worry about them. God has an answer for that, and is probably using Y!A to help implement a system, albeit some flaws, to track abuse. No system is perfect. Just use your freedom of speech wisely, and develop a thicker skin. Respect goes both ways.

I have come to know that people are affraid of what they do not know. Most people are affraid of knowledge especially when they think that they are the ones with the truth an when they find out that what they know is false then they get offended because of their ignorance. Hosa 4:6 sates that "My people are destroyed for the last of knowledge....."

We as a people will pay houndreds an even thousands of dollars for our secular education but we fail to try an find out about our own beliefs. For to long we have allowed others to dictate what we believe...

We need to look beyond the pulpit for the answer to questions that baffle even those that call themselves learned men and women of the Bible....

Some Christians are jerks and are too afraid of someone questioning their religion because they realize it is all made up. Hopefully there will be a day when all people will realize this and get rid of religion once and for all, it has done nothing beneficial for the world, ever.

Non-believers questions regarding a Christian's beliefs should not be a problem.

Crude and rude attacks upon a Christian's beliefs are as old as time. They are hurtful & disrepectful, but they sadly are a source of entertainment for some, and/or an attempt at building themselves up, justifying their non-belief or their actions while attempting to tear others down.

I try to avoid those who for personal or group entertainment and not serious questioners slander and malign my beliefs.

More importantly, it is NOT my job/responsibility as a Christian to change anyone, that is God Almighty's job. I am only a messenger, delivering an introduction and an invitation, God Almighty alone takes the meeting.

A belief has got to be a fear in itself. Think about it- if I believe then that alone means that I don't know. Christians believe in the dogmas of a man-made church, so even they will have the greatest fear in the end, "Was what I believed really the truth?

It all depends on who you talk to and how much they know. If you speak to someone who does not practice all the truths and does not take the time to read the Bible daily, than you just might scare someone. But in reality, a Christian who sharpens their swords, can only cut.
