The origin of the term is "buck naked" as in as naked as a buck deer. It originated during a time when people were less urban and a deer or other wildlife were not such alien concepts, and their references were sprinkled throughout speech

While there is much debate over the origin of this phrase, that is common with corrupted clichés, as admitting the corruption is often seen as a comment on intelligence. Thus, many argue that "butt naked" came first and that "buck" was later adopted by some to tone down any vulgarity perceived in using the word "butt." Regardless of origin, the Associated Press style guide currently advises using "buck naked."

I am glad we get new ones, but I'm not sure if they will be physical, spiritual, or a combination. Here is what wiki says:

Dating from the 1920s, the expression buck naked commonly means completely naked or without a "stitch" (as opposed to partially naked). Synonyms include "bare naked", "buck-**** naked", and "butt naked" (also spelled, facetiously, "butt nekkid"). In the American South, "buck naked" or its corruption "butt naked" means not in your house, out looking for trouble on Saturday night and wearing no clothes.

Hmm I thought it was "butt naked" but other people have posted otherwise...

By getting a new body later, do you mean like changing the way you look? If so, that could be good and bad. If you are trying to change the way you look by losing weight to promote a better self-image, then it is good. Or if you are trying to make your overall appearance look neater and/or cleaner by wearing neater and/or cleaner clothing, that is also good. But if one is changing the way they look artificially just to fit in with others and it is not who they really are, this could be bad. If someone is trying to lose weight, like I said before, it is usually a good thing. But if the individual is only losing weight to look skinnier to better blend in and socialize, often through anorexia or bolemia. Looking different to impress someone or your friends can be good, but only if it is what the individual wants and if it is who he/she really is.

So it all depends on the person. I personally think that it is a a good thing to "get a new body", if it is only meant for the better.

I've always heard it "buck naked", or as we say in the southern part of the US, "nekkid". And, yeah, I'm definitely glad I'll be getting a new body later on.
